Centrally located to Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey, Tabriz was established as one of the Persian Empire’s largest cities and trade destinations and for centuries, Tabriz was designated integral to the trade of fine, collectible goods. A distinction of the hand-knotted Tabriz rugs is the higher than typical knot density per square meter that ensures quality and precision far exceeding the density of most other Persian rugs.
