Description
Centrally located to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey, Tabriz was established as one of the Persian Empire’s largest cities and trade destinations and for centuries. A distinction of the hand knotted Tabriz rug is a the higher than typical knot density per square meter that ensures a quality and precision far exceeding the density of most other Persian pieces.

An exemplary display of craftsmanship and artisanship, the Tabriz design often centers around a medallion surrounded by intricate garden motifs. While some Tabriz rugs offer portraits of architectural wonders, those are far rarer and should be sought by any true rug collector, at least for a memorable glance. This semi-antique Tabriz plays with the equidistant spacing. This colourfully unique piece with a floral and paisley layout and stunning saffron background and is one of the most unique Tabriz rugs in our collection. The result is a stunning example of the Tabiz's rich, prominent history in the Persian empire.
